The portability, flexibility, and light weight of a fly pack video production system has made it a go-to option for broadcasting smaller events in remote locations or inside venues. Many of our clients choose fly packs for corporate functions, sports, concerts, conferences, and religious services.
Fly packs are easy to transport and require minimal crews to operate, making them ideal for events with a limited production footprint.
TNDV has a variety of customizable fly packs available to accommodate a range of any scale of event and are readily available for deployment. All fly packs are accompanied by at least one broadcast engineer and we have the ability to provide additional crew if needed.
Customization is Key
Step One: Customize Your System
TNDV customizes each fly pack to the client’s needs based on technical requirements. The first step is determining the correct switching system. System format, overall event size and other factors play into this selection. The customization of TNDV fly pack systems always begins with the nexus of the system, the switcher and video router combo.
TNDV offers a variety of fly pack primary systems, including:

Components of a Fly Pack
Camera Rack
The camera rack portion of the fly pack is built to provide shading capability across all cameras with monitoring for the video shader/colorist. It also connects to the switcher rack to provide return video, program audio, camera tally and intercom for all cameras.

ISO Recording
TNDV utilizes the AJA KiPro recorders for program and iso recording in various fly pack configurations. In live production environments, where events unfold in real-time and there are no second chances, having reliable and top-tier video recording equipment is essential.
Record Racks
Another part of the fly pack infrastructure are the record racks that offer multi-channel video and audio recording. The racks are complete with monitoring of all record paths, both video and audio and also include a UPS battery backup in case of power failure.
Audio Multitrack – In a Fly Pack
The TNDV audio multitrack flypack is a game-changer for live production audio recording. When the event calls for multitrack recording, and the fly pack is the best solution, our audio fly pack offers unparalleled audio multitrack recording capabilities.
The audio fly pack uses MADI technology to deliver digital audio from remote stage racks to the console and allows for sharing audio feeds to both Pro Tools multitrack along with additional available backup multitrack recorders. Whether you’re recording a small gig or a large-scale event, this system can handle it all. This fly pack is capable of up to 96 channels of recording and is a great fit when the space is too small for our flagship audio production trailer, “Vibration.”
