Floorplan Layout

The floorplan on page 1 of the MU-B5 specification clearly divides the unit into four distinct zones:

• Chapman Storage: Located at the rear, this section includes shelving and space for flypacks, fiber drums, camera cases, expendables, and other support gear. It is accessible via rear load-out ramp and side entry.
• Engineering / Cushman Bay: This is a closed, climate-controlled work area for technical staff. It includes counter workspace and is ideal for system integrators, EICs, and engineers managing routing, audio tie lines, and system health.
• Audio / Office Room: A flexible office zone for audio supervisors, comms operators, or production management. This space is commonly used for phone comms, intercom coordination, or show calling.
• Flex Work Zones 1 & 2: The largest area in the expando portion, Flex 1 and Flex 2 include a shared deskline with seating for up to 6 operators. These positions are modular and can be equipped for any combination of comms, fiber patching, network control, IP management, or show ops.

This layout ensures multiple departments can operate simultaneously without overcrowding or signal interference.
